What Are Studio Sessions?

Please plan and book your studio sessions ahead of time, as the Media Commons is a popular resource and slots can fill up. You are responsible for completing your studio sessions on time each week as assigned.

Be sure to take breaks whenever you need them, motion capture can be physically and mentally exhausting! Your studio sessions should not exceed more than 3-4 hours at a time; the limit for time spent in the Media Commons is 4 hours per (motion capture) session.

Try alternating between different roles so you get to experience the entire motion capture pipeline:

If you are planning to conduct shoots with participants who are not part of this class or affiliated with NYU, you should have them fill out a consent form, and you should also request visitor passes for them to access the facilities; you can customize this consent form template per your project needs. We will go over all of this in class.
